Does this resize or crop my images?

Each image is placed to fill its own page at its original proportions; nothing is cropped. Very large images are scaled to fit a normal page size.

Can I mix JPG and PNG in the same PDF?

Yes, add whichever mix of JPGs and PNGs you need. Each becomes its own page in the order you set.
